A devastating road accident occurred late Tuesday night on the Gumla-Rourkela National Highway, resulting in the loss of two lives. The accident involved a speeding Bolero colliding with a bike, leading to a fire outbreak in the bike's tank and subsequent collision with a tree. The deceased, identified as Amboa residents Sabu Ansari and Abdulla Ansari, were laborers returning home after work when the tragic incident unfolded near Tansera.
According to reports, the Bolero struck the bike from behind near Gyan Jyoti School, causing the bike's fuel tank to burst into flames. Subsequently, the out-of-control Bolero collided with a tree, resulting in extensive damage. Tragically, two other laborers from Amboa, Ajmat Ansari and Salman Ansari, who arrived at the scene, also faced a similar fate as their bike caught fire. Despite efforts by locals and medical personnel, Sabu Ansari and Abdulla Ansari succumbed to their injuries while being transported to RIMS for treatment. Azmat Ansari and Salman Ansari are currently undergoing treatment at Gumla Sadar Hospital, while the fate of the Bolero driver and passenger remains unknown as police continue their investigation.
